Her journey began at age five, riding summers at Rimrock Ranch in Wyoming and training year-round in Chicago. After earning her BFA from the University of Denver, Kathy moved to the Roaring Fork Valley to work at St. Finnbarr Farm (now Aspen Valley Polo Club), later co-founding Rock N Pines Stables and launching Easy Rider Tack, now Crystal Springs Saddlery.

Over the years, she has trained, taught, shown, and developed equestrian programs across Colorado and California. Kathy is an award-winning hunter/jumper rider with more than 40 years of show experience, including wins at Madison Square Garden and multiple HITS Thermal circuit championships. She’s also a certified vaulting coach and a past president of the Mountain States Combined Training Association.

Today, Kathy continues to offer expert care and community-centered equestrian experiences across both her ranches, supporting riders of all levels and championing the future of the sport.
